Women's Health
Oct 16, 2026 12:15 PM
Dr. Caroline Morgan Berchuck, MD, MPH, is a physician for women in midlife and Co-Director of Women's Health for the McKinsey Health Institute. As she puts it, the women's health gap is a data problem, a research problem, a care delivery problem, a funding problem, and a priority problem. Women weren't counted in the studies. Physicians weren't trained on what makes women's physiology distinct. And our education and healthcare systems were built around the male body as the default, with implications we are still measuring. Caroline is an author of seminal reports on the women's health gap that have changed how we understand women's health and inspired movements across healthcare and philanthropy, including:
Caroline holds a BS from Davidson College, an MD from Emory University School of Medicine, and an MPH from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She completed her family medicine residency at UCSF with a concentration in health system leadership, and has served on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and Boston University School of Medicine. She formerly served as the VP of Clinical Innovation at Commonwealth Care Alliance, a non-profit for people with complex needs, and as a Chief Medical Officer at Cityblock Health. A proud graduate of City Schools of Decatur, Caroline is also a Rotary kid: her father, J. Tom Morgan, is a former member of Decatur Rotary, and she spent many Friday lunches at the old Courthouse.

From Combat Zones to Community Service
Nov 13, 2026 12:15 PM
Jack Kirivong is a U.S. Army veteran and global leader whose career reflects the very heart of Rotary’s mission, “Service Above Self.” With more than 30 years of domestic and international leadership experience, Jack served in combat deployments to the Persian Gulf, Somalia, and Haiti, where he led soldiers in high‑risk, rapidly changing environments and earned selection as an Instructor at the United States Military Academy at West Point. His military service shaped a lifelong commitment to service, resilience, and community impact. Whether navigating the intensity of the Gulf War, supporting humanitarian operations in Somalia, or contributing to stability missions in Haiti, Jack witnessed firsthand the power of teamwork, courage, and leadership under pressure. After transitioning from the Army, Jack continued to lead diverse international teams across multiple continents, driving organizational growth and strengthening partnerships in both federal and commercial sectors. Today, he brings that same spirit of service to the Rotary Club of Decatur, where he serves in leadership roles supporting fundraising, youth engagement, and community development. Celebrating Veterans Day, Jack shares his experiences not only to honor those who served but to inspire others to lead with purpose, serve with compassion, and strengthen the communities we call home. |
