Retired ER and Military Flight Physician

Charles D. Lutin is a retired emergency physician and military flight surgeon. A native of Nashville, Tennessee, he attended Vanderbilt University, followed by medical school at Duke University. After completing postgraduate education at East Tennessee State University, he launched what would become a 35-year career in emergency medicine in North Carolina. Charles was bitten by the aviation bug and became licensed as a private pilot in 1983. Eventually, he joined the U.S. Air Force, in 2007, and served as an in-flight surgeon for five years. He has lived in Georgia since separating from the USAF, and has been a member of the Decatur Rotary Club since 2022.
