Help Needed with Meeting Setup and Take Down during May

Our Sergeant-at-Arms, Luis Abularach, needs help during the month of May with setting up the A/V and club banners in preparation for the weekly meeting, then putting these things away after the meeting.

Can you help? Please let Luis or President Alison know. Thank you!

ANNOUNCEMENT:
Help Plan the DRC Foundation Fundraiser for Fall 2026

The Decatur Rotary Foundation is our club's main vehicle to do good in our community by funding such programs as Rotary Youth Exchange, the STAR (Student and Teacher Appreciation Recognition) program, events at Decatur High School, and community grants to local nonprofits.

We are now planning for a major fundraising event this fall. My request to you, my fellow Decatur Rotarians, at this moment is to let Tim Martin, Jack Kirivong, or me know your ideas for fundraising themes as well as your interest and willingness to join the fundraising planning team that will be formed very soon.

Thank you for considering to help out at this important upcoming event. Let's make it a success!

Eric Lucas | President-Elect

UPDATE:
Rotary Youth Exchange Program
The 2026-27 cohort of outbound exchange students just completed Language Camp, held at Decatur CoWorks. Students met with language coaches and prepared presentations about themselves in their target language. They will deliver those presentations to their host Rotary clubs once they arrive in Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Slovakia, and Sweden later this summer.

Thanks to Doug Park for letting us use his office, and thanks to Geisa Salati, president-elect of the Smyrna Rotary Club, for serving as a language coach!
