FODAC (Friends of Disabled Adults and Children) is a non-profit organization that aims to enhance the quality of life for those who are mobility-impaired due to any physical disability, illness, or injury by providing home medical equipment to those in need for little to no charge. They have a thrift store that offers a large variety of clothing, furniture, household goods, jewelry, books, music - and so much more! All proceeds of the thrift store support FODAC’s mission of supplying medical equipment to those with disabilities at little or no cost to the recipients or their families.

 

 

 

FODAC has been collecting and distributing durable medical equipment such as wheelchairs and hospital beds at little or no cost to the disabled and their families since 1986. They have collected and distributed more than 35,000 wheelchairs over the years.

 

FODAC has a strong network of volunteers and partners who provide refurbished equipment and services for adults and children with disabilities to improve their overall quality of life. They provide free or low-cost wheelchairs and other home medical equipment, vehicle and home adaptations, and more.

 

FODAC is at 4900 Lewis Rd., Stone Mountain, GA 30083. The thrift store is open from Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm.
