The meeting will feature the "Passing of the Gavel" ceremony and we’ll hear for the incoming President on his plans for the year. Be there!.

Join Us! Rotary Marching in the Decatur July 4th Parade
Make plans to march on Thursday, July 4 in the huge Decatur City Pied Piper Parade. Bring your family! Decorate your bike, wagon, stroller, unicycle . . . and yourself! March along with your fellow Rotarians, and wear your Rotary swag. Line up starts at 5:30 pm at the First Baptist Church, and the parade kicks off at 6 pm.

Rotary Means Business is a Rotary Fellowship recognized around the world that encourages Rotarians to support the success of their fellow Rotarians by doing business with them, learning from others, mentoring young professionals, and by serving as a business referral source for fellow Rotarians. We currently enjoy the support of our District Governor as the District Vocation Committee. It offers a business-to-business networking opportunity to share your business with fellow Rotarians.

Essentially, we offer a business-to-business networking opportunity to share your business with fellow Rotarians. Rotary Means Business (RMB) will help you with the following (and probably more):
• Attract new and retain strong club members
• Mentoring opportunities for veteran business owners and leaders
• Support your Vocational Chairperson – activity for annual goals
• Cross activity with other clubs in the district – annual Goals
• Grow membership and attract business owners/leaders
• Add value to your regular program for your members
• Additional activity on your social media/websites if you place on your social media pages and websites to promote interest in your club and this fellowship

Decatur Rotary Proudly Welcomes New Members
Decatur Rotary Club was extremely pleased to induct three new members Friday: Dee Raeside as a new member and Mary Ann Cathopoulis and Bob Ettensohn as transferring Rotarians.
Welcome Dee Raeside
With 35 years of expertise in commercial and residential real estate title, Dee brings a unique blend of knowledge and care to the table. As a Realtor with Keller Williams Buckhead, she prides herself on her top three value propositions:
1) In-depth knowledge of current market data, ensuring a smooth selling/ buying process;
2) Trusted professionalism, backed by 28 years as a sole proprietor;
3) Dual expertise, as a title professional and licensed agent.
Dee also does quite a bit of volunteer work in the community and will be a great fit with Rotary.

Decatur Welcomes Mary Ann Cathopoulis
Mary Ann, a Rotarian transferring from Tampa, has supported the Polio Plus Program and is a Polio survivor herself. She created an advocacy group for adult literacy while working in Washington, DC. She received a Presidential award for this. She has advocated for the homeless and poor in Phoenix Arizona…creating a program that provided Christmas presents for kids and has supported Equal Opportunity Employment efforts in the State of AZ as well as she has helped support programs to help disabled individuals to ski

Welcome Bob Ettensohn
Decatur Rotary welcomes Bob to the Decatur area after his move from Lakeland Florida where Bob was Former Retired agency owner at The Ettensohn Agency Inc., Former Territory Manager at Allstate and studied Business management at Miami University. Bob was president of his Rotary club in South Lakeland so we are excited to get such an experienced Rotarian and look forward to big things from Bob. Bob receives his new Rotary badge from Member Chair Jason Conn and President Tozzi.

Community Grant Awards
The Decatur Club Gives Back
Representatives from all the winning organizations gather with Grant Chair Kelly Caudle and President Tozzi.
Grant Chair Kelly Caudle welcomed our award winning guests and told the club about how their organizations help children at risk or support literacy.
Decatur Rotary was pleased to welcome to the Historic DeKalb Courthouse seven leaders of outstanding DeKalb County nonprofit organizations that support the causes that we hold dear: Literacy and Youth-At-Risk. Each organization was able to tell their story and explain the specific project that the Rotary grant supports.
Each organization was awarded a grant if it met the conditions of being in DeKalb County and had a specific project with measurable objectives that supported one of our two causes:
• Literacy: Our Rotary goal is to strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy, reduce gender disparity in education, and increase adult literacy.
• Youth-At-Risk: Rotary supports local non-profits that help young people who are vulnerable for problem behaviors such as substance abuse, school failure, and juvenile delinquency, along with mental health disorders, such as depression and anxiety.
