At a recent Decatur Education Foundation event, Nia Batra received the Decatur Rotary Club Foundation Scholarship. She is a 2026 graduate of Decatur High, and was honored at our STAR student program earlier this year. Nia will attend Georgia Tech in the fall, majoring in Arts, Entertainment, and Creative Technologies. Her goal is to use design and technology to build effective systems and products for environments with impact, like school systems and political campaigns. As she said to a local journalist, she is excited “about getting young people involved in the civic world around them.”
