MEETING PROGRAM
"Inside Journalism"
with members of the Atlanta Press Club
Ever wanted an inside look at the media? This week’s meeting will feature a panel of working journalists who will answer questions about how they work, select stories, and manage newsrooms. This informal Q&A discussion is organized by the Atlanta Press Club as part of its new “APC in Your Community” program.
Speakers include:
Rick Folbaum, anchor of weekday newscasts for Atlanta News First and Peachtree TV; co-host of “On the Record,” a Sunday show on WANF focusing on Georgia politics. Over a 30-year broadcasting career, he has won multiple local Emmy awards and reported live from several world capitals.
Rodney Ho, entertainment reporter at Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Previously, he worked for the Wall St Journal covering small business and entrepreneurship; he covered education at his first newspaper job in Virginia.
Molly Samuel, deputy managing editor at WABE, Atlanta's NPR and PBS affiliate. She works with reporters to sharpen story ideas and edit pieces. Her background is in environmental journalism. She also was producer/reporter on the science desk at KQED in San Francisco.
Moderator Duane Stanford, editor and publisher of Beverage Digest, a U.S.-based business newsletter covering the non-alcoholic drinks industry. Previously, he spent 23 years at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Bloomberg News reporting and writing on politics, business, and more.

Update: Jack Kirivong shared that we raised $1,500 from the first carwash weekend, which will go to support our club’s programs.
