Patti Garrett was elected to the Decatur City Commission in 2009 and has served as Mayor since 2016.
Patti graduated from Texas Christian University and received a Master of Science Degree from the University of Tennessee. She and her husband, Gary, live in Winnona Park and enjoy walking, biking and visiting their three grown sons and their families.

Superior Court Judge Brian Lake
Attorney Dan DeWoskin introduces Superior Court Judge, Brian Lake.
Judge Brian Lake is a true native of Decatur and now serves on the Superior Court of Dekalb County. Brian was sworn in as a member of the DeKalb Superior Court IN 2023.

Lake is a DeKalb native who graduated from Decatur High School and then attended the University of Georgia for both undergrad and law school. During law school, Lake met his wife Kat, who now serves as a public defender in Fulton County. Prior to attending law school, Lake worked in construction for approximately three years at commercial jobsites across the metro-Atlanta area.
Brian regaled us with stories of his courtroom, answered questions, talked about concepts such as self-representation in the court, but stayed away from politics. Everyone appreciated his talk because Brian was open, candid and felt at home with the Rotary members. President Tozzi presents a book to the DeKalb Library System in honor of Judge Lake.
