Alliance Theatre

Daviorr Snipes is the director of community and internal engagement at the Alliance Theatre, with a focus on expanding arts access for marginalized groups. He recently returned to the Alliance after spending nearly a few years working as the director of equity, diversity and inclusion for the Stratford Festival Theatre in Ontario, Canada. Previously, Snipes worked at the Alliance as the group services manager and then as director of equity, diversity and inclusion. As a professional theater, film, and voiceover actor, Snipes has used his work in the arts to attract new audiences of color, gender diversity, youth, and disability to the world of theater through active community advocacy. This advocacy was notably showcased through his work as a public school teacher for Banneker High School through the Teach for America program. Snipes has been a member of Actor’s Equity for 23 years.
